Since 1956, when founder Jim Clayton sold his first home, the Clayton family has been committed to making the dream of homeownership attainable for families across America. That legacy continues today at Clayton Wakarusa, where we proudly serve the Midwest with high-quality homes built to stand the test of time.
Established in 2013 to meet the growing demand for affordable living, Clayton Wakarusa quickly became a trusted name in the region. In 2017, we expanded by opening a second home building facility next door, doubling our capacity while maintaining the high standards we’re known for.

About our homes
Each home is built by skilled craftsmen in a climate-controlled facility in Wakarusa, Indiana, and delivered to you through our trusted retail partners. Built to eBuilt® standards and Zone III Thermal Zone requirements, these homes are packed full of energy-efficient features and Clayton Built® amenities to provide our customers with the longest-lasting, most affordable homes possible.
